Dear Praying Friends,
Thank you for your role in the ministry here in Australia.  I am thankful that you are reading this update so that you can do as Paul says in Romans 15:30 "Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;"  Your prayers are vitally important to the work here, and the Lord is answering them.  Please continue to strive with us in prayer for the people of Australia!
This past month and a half has been a busy one, as usual.  I have had the privilege to teach SRI once again.  SRI stands for Special Religious Instruction.  I am able to speak to a group of children at a local primary school for 30 minutes a week.  There is approved material that I teach, but it gives me contact with young people in our community.  My prayer is that the Lord would use this contact to bring glory to Himself.  This year I have a great group of children that have been very attentive to the lessons and have asked great questions too.
Next week Grace Baptist will give plates of biscuits (cookies for you Americans) to the staff at the local school where we meet on Sundays, the local police department, and the local fire brigade.  This is to show our appreciation for their service within our community and to let them know that on the last Sunday in May we will have a special time of prayer for each group.  It is a wonderful way to share the love of Christ with those in our community.
Please pray for these outreaches.  We want to see people hear of what Christ has done for them and respond by receiving Him as Savior.  Thank you for taking the time to read this ministry update.

Dear Praying Friends,
We have had a blessed start to the month of April.  I am thankful that Australia is a country that takes the time and celebrates the Easter holiday.  Here both Good Friday and Easter Monday are public holidays.  On Good Friday we had our annual fellowship dinner.  It is normally held at our house, but this year was such a good turnout that we needed to move it to the school hall.  It was a wonderful time with fellow believers and also time to humble ourselves and contemplate the sacrifice made on our behalf.  Easter Sunday was a day filled with praise and worship to the God who has set us free and given us a living hope.  There were visitors that heard the gospel message and our prayer is that the Lord would work in their hearts even now.
The Lord continues to work at Grace Baptist Church.  We have had many visitors and there are several who have continued to attend.  I am humbled at the opportunity to serve on the field, and challenged as the steward of Christ's church.  I know that you have many requests to lift to the Lord daily, but if you can remember us in your prayers it would be much appreciated.  Thank you for taking the time to check up on what the Lord is doing in Australia.  God's blessings.

Dear Praying Friends,
Thank you for your prayers support.  We can see the Lord answering.  Reading prayer letters and seeing names that do not ring any bell in your mind can be difficult to pray for, but God honors those prayers.  We pray in faith, even though we do not know the person or the situation, knowing that God understands it all perfectly.  He works on our behalf in His own special way, and I have found in my prayer life that He changes my heart as He answers my prayers.  What a pleasure to be able to approach the throne of the King.
Last month we launched our children's program on Thursday nights.  It is awesome to hear children memorizing the Scripture and hiding it in their heart.  This helps secure their foundation as they grow in their walk with Jesus.  Perhaps you have been experienced the Holy Spirit bringing a verse to your mind at just the right time.  It's a great encouragement, and it was possible because you spent time committing God's word to memory.
We have the opportunity to reach out to our community with the love of Christ this month with our "Kid's Fun Day".  There has been much preparation that has gone into this event, much advertisement, and much prayer.  If you could add your prayers to this effort as we plead with the Lord to bless this event.
Also please pray for a gentleman by the name of Robert.  I had the privilege of sharing Jesus love with Robert this past week.  We will meet again this next week, and my prayer is that he comes to Christ soon.
Thank you for all your support of this ministry, and thank you for taking the time to read this update.  May God bless you all.
